What is Discovering Me?
A parent/child learning experience from birth (or before) to age 3
Discovering Me is much more than a playgroup or parenting class. It is an opportunity to better understand your child and your role as a parent.
Dr. Maria Montessori researched children’s growth and development. She believed that children have two basic needs:
- A bond with their parents.
- Strong support for their growing independence and sense of self.
Researchers today affirm Dr. Montessori’s beliefs. At Oak Farm Montessori School, we welcome any adult with young children to learn more about these important developmental needs.
