Welcome to Oak Farm Montessori School!

We are delighted that you are considering Oak Farm Montessori School for your family. We are committed to providing an authentic Montessori education that is rooted in our Founder's Vision and Values to create a model of excellence for our students, faculty and parents.

My role as the Director of Admissions is to be the liaison between the school and your family, making introductions to both to ensure that it is a good fit for all. Choosing the right educational environment for your child is an important decision and by visiting our website you are actively engaging in the process.

The only way to truly experience the unique educational environment cultivated at Oak Farm Montessori, is to visit and see it for yourself.

Our Admissions Process

Schedule and Complete a Tour

Your first step is to schedule and complete a personalized tour. During the personalized tour, we will learn about your family’s needs for the education and care of your child, and you can learn more about our program and the Montessori approach. You will also have the opportunity to share information regarding your child’s development, personality, interests and abilities, ensuring a strong foundation for partnership between school and home.

Complete and Submit an Application for Admission

Once you have decided that Oak Farm Montessori is a great fit for your student and family, you will need to submit an online application, the $50 application fee, and the required supporting documents.

Applications for infants through elementary are only accepted September through January 1st. Secondary, middle through high school, are accepted year round. *Please note the January 1st date may close earlier or be extended due to the number of applications received.

Application Assessment and Interview Period

During the months of February and March, the Director of Admissions schedules student assessments/interviews and parent interviews for prospective families who have completed a tour, the application process, and paid the application fee. During the visit, your child will have the opportunity to interact within the Montessori classroom. The teacher’s goal will be to interact with your child, show them what a Montessori classroom is like, and determine if the school is a good fit for your child. The parent interview seeks to understand the commitment from the family in regards to embracing the Montessori principles and understanding of the philosophy.

Admissions Decision

Welcome and Orientation

It is important for every family to attend our annual parent orientation night with the Head of School and faculty in order to understand the policies and procedures of our school community. This event is held in August, the week prior to the start of school. We also have a classroom visit day that week to establish a connection with the teachers and allow your child to become familiar with their new environment. In addition, we ask all new families to commit to attend our Journey and Discovery event in September.
