3 students heading to State

Going to state!
The Oak Farm Montessori FFA team competed in the District 3 competition Friday night at Prairie Heights and walked away with several top three finishers, fourth place overall and three students headed to state competition. Considering this is only their second year of existence, moving from 16th place to 4th place overall is quite an accomplishment!
Of the nineteen students who participated, several chose to compete in more than one area which helped accumulate the 197 points they earned. District 3 is one of the most competitive in the state, and considering our team is comprised of middle school and freshman students, they have even more to be proud of going against schools who brought only high school upperclassmen!
Going onto state for OFMS are Cooper Routsong in Extemporaneous Speaking and the duo of Riley Fitzharris and Andy Sondek in the category of Talent. Congratulations to all of the parents, students and our Farm Manager, Crystal Leu, who have given countless hours to prepare for this event.
