Campus

Oak Farm sits on a beautiful 100 acre campus in Avilla, Indiana. Each building and outdoor space creates a peaceful, comfortable learning environment where students can excel. Classrooms provide a home-like setting with natural lighting, wooden floors, furnishings, and age-appropriate Montessori materials. Students are encouraged to engage with nature in our outdoor environments through guided activities appropriate to their age and stage of development. To experience for yourself the unique atmosphere Oak Farm Montessori has to offer,  schedule a tour by emailing Krissy at kmulholland@oakfarmschool.com.

South Campus

Outdoor environments on our South Campus include Toddler, Primary and Lower Elementary playgrounds, woods where outdoor and environmental-education lessons are held, fields for daily outdoor playtime and physical education classes, and a sledding hill. As part of our garden-to-table lunch program, children perform daily age-appropriate tasks in multiple organic gardens and help our chef prepare lunch. The Red Barn and Green Farmhouse house Lower Elementary classrooms for first through third grades; the Victorian Farmhouse features Infant, Toddler, and Primary (3-6 years) classrooms, each with its own entrance and kitchen facilities, plus a Toddler solarium (fitness room), a Primary recreation room for Brain Gym®, a library, music room, and all-school kitchen.

North Campus

The North Campus is comprised of the Prairie House, an Upper Elementary building housing fourth through sixth grades, as well as the authentic Brick House and barns for Middle School students in grades seven and eight. Middle School students maintain a micro economy and farm market for the sale of fresh eggs, honey, and homemade baked goods, and students care for many different animals such as bees, alpaca, chickens, goats, peacocks, turkeys and ducks. Housed within the Brick Farmhouse and barns is a science lab, gourmet-cooking class, sewing room, and greenhouse.  Outdoor environments on the North Campus provide garden beds, an orchard, prairie and wetlands, basketball hoops, and soccer field for students in fourth through eighth grades to engage with the great outdoors.
